beach-front-21-300x225Tangalooma Island Resort is an earthly paradise found in Tangalooma, Queensland in Australia. It was originally a whaling station and was turned into an island getaway because of its rare flora and fauna and its stunning views. Couples or families hunting down a great holiday destination can expect to certainly cherish a Tangalooma Island Resort holiday.

This haven is found on the west side of Moreton Island, close to Moreton Bay. It is known for its rare white beaches and it has been a whale reserve since the year 1962, when the whaling station was closed down.

When experiencing a Tangalooma Island Resort getaway, you can expect to be assisted by friendly and helpful staff whilst being taken aback by the beautiful white sand beaches. You could also take on a lot of activities from wreck diving to feeding and playing with the dolphins. You are guaranteed to absolutely love every minute of your stay.

Tangalooma has a small population of 300, but its tourism has allowed this small township to thrive and maintain the panoramic and majestic glory of the island. Above 3500 visitors frequent the resort weekly, and even more during peak seasons. The local government has also established a Centre for Marine Education and Conservation, to inform and train the local population along with tourists about the requirement of maintaining the marine life in the area. The centre has employed marine biologists to conduct information awareness drives and programs, just part of the nature tour package for holidaymakers.

On a Tangalooma Island Resort vacation, everyone will definitely enjoy their getaway with more than eighty activities to choose from - but maybe the best moment of your time away may be the possibility to experience the beauty of nature. Travellers can go sight-seeing and feel the majestic sunrise and sunset by the beach, or play with the dolphins that frequent the resort.
